We are looking to appoint a Quality Manager and Accreditation Lead to join the Business Design and Assurance Department (BDA) where you will be providing professional expertise in relation to compliance to accreditation standards including ISO17025, ISO17020 as well as the Forensics Science Regulators Codes of Practice (FSR CoP)
As Quality Manager and Accreditation Lead you will ensure the force remains compliant with current standards and manage the implementation of new accreditations as required. Through your expertise, you will provide independent oversight of regulatory standards within the force, enabling confidence in the quality of outputs such as digital forensic evidence.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders on all matters relating to the force Quality Management System and accreditation compliance.
- Manage the relationships with regulators such as UKAS and FSR, escalating major non-conformances and managing the audit and re-accreditation process.
- Ensure that all occurrences of non-conformance are satisfactorily resolved, providing communication and training of agreed actions.
- Plan, schedule and manage internal audits to the required standard utilising suitably qualified personnel to undertake the audits.
- Provide quality awareness training and ensure that local quality leads are kept up to date regarding procedural changes which may affect their duties.
- Management and control of COSHH and associated risk assessments.
Requirements:
To be successful you will:
- Have proven experience in Quality Management and a detailed understanding of ISO standards and be able to undertake root cause analysis and translate complex audit findings into actionable improvements.
- Have highly developed communication and client management skills as well as excellent organising and planning skills.
- Be accomplished in delivering training to varied stakeholders including senior management and new internal auditors.
