ROLE: Date Modeller (Business Insight enableNY)

LOCATION: Northallerton/ agile home working

RANK/GRADE: Scale 4/6 , £21,135- £28,725 per annum (against a career progression plan)

HOURS:  Permanent, Full time 37 hours per week

 
We are currently inviting applications for a full-time permanent post in the role of Data Modeller positioned in Business Insight within the wider enableNY structure. Business Insight is the team which helps drive service improvement, supports HMICFRS activity, leads on understanding current and future demands, and is developing an exciting approach to data analytics. A relatively new team, our work is constantly evolving to meet the needs of a changing operating environment as we seek innovative approaches to improving service delivery.


As part of the Business Insight data team, the post-holder will:

  • Operate within enableNY providing services to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, North Yorkshire Police and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner
  • Respond to Freedom of Information requests
  • Provide data to a range of external customers in order to meet statutory or other agreed reporting requirements (e.g. Home Office, HMICFRS, partners)
  • Provide data to a range of internal customers in order to inform service improvement, inspection, research and/or analysis products.
  • Assist in the production of reports to support organisational performance monitoring

The main focus of this role will be to support to the PFCC’s Commissioning and Partnerships team. The Commissioner has implemented new Criminal Justice Diversionary services to reduce our First Time Entrant and Reoffending rates; data collection and analysis for these services will be the primary focus of the role. This will include scrutinising systems, collating data, preparing output, outcome and trend analysis and working with partners and service providers to ensure information accuracy. 

There is an expectation that the successful post holder will engage in self-learning, embrace the skills development as set out in the Career Progression Plan (as far as allowed by the timescales) and show a commitment to continuously develop what Business Insight can offer.
